The conditions have been perfect in the Pacific Northwest to encourage mushroom growth. There were so many to discover on my hike this weekend at Tryon Creek State Park.
This has been a damp fall and the conditions are right for mushrooms to erupt everywhere.
Took a day trip to explore a “new to me” spot in Cannon Beach, Oregon. The rock formations are fascinating and beautiful.
I went hiking at the Oregon Coast on Saturday in the Oceanbay Peninsula Park. The weather offered up a study in contrasts – sunny and breezy on the bay side to cloudy with 20mph winds on the ocean side.
Took a break at the coast to recharge. The skies were putting on a show.
We rarely get snow in Portland so it is a treat to see the city in a blanket of white.
